We have developed a new type of the "DT Series" high-speed transmission compatible 0.5mm pitch floating connector with a stack height of 25mm. This time, we developed a plug-side connector with a stack height of 15mm and combined it with a receptacle-side connector that has a 10mm increased stack height, achieving a total stack height of 25mm. Similar to the 30mm stack height version, it ensures a high floating amount of ±1.0mm in the XY direction, enabling high-speed serial transmission equivalent to 8Gbps. We will develop seven variations with pin counts ranging from 30 to 140 pins. Additionally, by combining it with the existing DT series receptacle side, it can accommodate the 15mm stack height version. *The 15mm type supports a floating amount of ±0.5mm.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the "DT Series" floating connector with a 0.5mm pitch, compatible with high-speed transmission, at KEL. The "DT Series" is a floating connector with a 0.5mm pitch that supports high-speed serial signal transmission equivalent to the SATA standard. It allows for three-dimensional connections in stacked, horizontal, and vertical configurations, and recently we have expanded our options by adding a high-stack type that accommodates a maximum stack height of 20mm. As part of our efforts to further expand our variations, we are introducing a shell type that is designed for ESD and EMC protection. By surrounding the connector with a metal shell, it protects the signals from static electricity and noise, and the contact between shells enhances grounding. The connection method is stack connection (height 10mm), and we offer 30 and 40 pins. By allowing the connector to move, it can absorb errors and misalignments during mating, thereby reducing stress on the connector and the circuit board. Benefits include absorption of mounting tolerances on the circuit board, the ability to mount multiple connectors on the same circuit board, and reduced stress on the soldering area of the connector.
