Due to the inability to lend out physical products, we proposed a cushioning material design based solely on the external dimensions of the product. This time, since it is for overseas shipment rather than domestic, there were concerns about handling. Therefore, the key point was to ensure that the packaging materials had sufficient strength, using sturdy cardboard for the outer box. Additionally, we adopted double packaging that minimizes the risk of accidents from impacts or punctures without affecting the product. By conducting cushioning design, we ensured that even delicate products, such as optical components that are sensitive to shocks, can be safely shipped overseas. We would like to introduce a case study on proposals for improving the loading efficiency of automotive parts containers. To increase the storage rate beyond appearances, we used a 3D camera to photograph the products and examined packaging methods that would enhance loading efficiency based on that data, considering aspects such as orientation and stacking methods. As a result of our final proposal, we achieved a stable loading method where the products do not come into contact with each other, increasing the capacity from what the customer previously thought was limited to 5 units to 6 units due to our proposal.
