Announcement of video publication on ultrasonic bolt axial force direct bolt tightening.

We developed a direct axial force tightening device that integrates an ultrasonic bolt axial force gauge and a bolt tightening device, and we reported it in the news. We have also added a video of the direct axial force tightening situation to the Ipros product information. Please take a look.
Video Composition:
In the prototype system, the nut runner is made by ESTIC, and the ultrasonic bolt axial force gauge is a custom model UI-27AF manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Shonan Electronics. The bolts used are engine bolts produced by Saga Iron Works.
(Direct Bolt Axial Force Tightening System)
During bolt fastening, the axial force applied to the bolt is measured from seating to tightening using a uniquely developed ultrasonic sensor and axial force measurement unit. The measurement is converted to axial force based on ultrasonic propagation time, and fastening is performed at the set axial force value. This technology is expected to be utilized as a method to suppress variations in bolt fastening axial force and achieve stabilization.
*The system introduced is a development technology by three companies: Honda R&D, Saga Iron Works, and Mitsubishi Electric Shonan Electronics.
