"9th Automotive Functional Safety Conference 2021 Online" Cutting-edge Functional Safety and Security Technologies for Autonomous Driving
The Automotive Functional Safety Conference, now in its ninth edition, began in 2013 in Nagoya as a study group organized and run by engineers and managers involved in the development of automotive control systems. This initiative was launched in response to the issuance of international standards regarding the functional safety of automotive electrical and electronic control systems in 2011, which compelled related companies to take action. In recent years, participation has expanded beyond passenger cars to include motorcycles, large vehicles, and various industries such as construction, agriculture, and aviation, as well as new technological fields like AI and security. Interest is rapidly growing beyond the traditional automotive industry boundaries. Notably, last year we held our first online event, which attracted 2,206 registered participants. This time, as a new initiative called "Automotive Functional Safety Conference Plus," we have created a video series featuring reviews of the previous presentations by committee members, discussions on future directions, and insights from program committee members. Additionally, on the final day, we are planning a panel discussion with keynote speakers from the three days of the conference.
