Wireless communication device "AirGlow"

The potential of intelligent streetlights.

Currently, while the LED conversion of streetlights is progressing, nighttime control is limited to turning them on and off. If street lighting could be easily controlled, it could contribute not only to energy savings but also to creating a comfortable lighting environment in urban areas at night. If this control device could incorporate sensors and manage collected information in the cloud, it could lead to the advancement of new applications. AirGlow is a unique product that builds a large-scale wireless sensor mesh to meet these expectations. AirGlow is a product that applies LumenRadio's Mira wireless mesh technology, with a maximum communication distance of 1500 meters between nodes (actual installation is done at 1/10 of this distance), and each node connects in a mesh topology. It controls the lighting installed on streetlights using the DALI protocol, synchronizes the time of each node, and shares trigger information from presence sensors, allowing multiple streetlights to synchronize and enable changes in specific scenes. Furthermore, with the future prospect of building a cloud system that incorporates sensors later, there is also room for expansion into a new system that collects data from the city using streetlights.
