CFRP refers to... It is the most notable material among advanced composite materials (ACM). It is manufactured by molding and processing carbon fibers with matrix resins such as epoxy and polyimide, and it is also a material designed according to the type, orientation, and combination of carbon fibers to meet specific applications and required characteristics. Its features, by utilizing anisotropy and heterogeneity, include: ■ Lightweight (about 1/5 that of steel) ■ High rigidity (about twice that of steel) ■ High strength (equivalent to or greater than steel) ■ High thermal conductivity (1/2 to 1/3 that of steel) ■ Low thermal expansion (1/10 that of steel) ■ Conductivity ■ X-ray transparency These advantages are among its benefits.
