DynaMIC is a hardness tester that adopts a rebound method and features an automatic impact direction correction function (patented) compliant with ASTM A956. The operation is simple; just place the impact device on the test material and read the measurement value. You can choose from several types of impact devices to suit your material and application. The DynaMIC DL, equipped with a data logging function, allows you to store measurement data internally.

The hardness value is calculated based on the voltage ratio of the signals generated before the impact body hits the sample and when it bounces back after hitting the sample. The DynaMIC DL is equipped with a patented automatic impact direction correction function, which automatically adjusts the measurement angle. ◆Usability With the adoption of the automatic impact direction correction function, there is no need to input the impact angle before starting measurements with the DynaMIC DL, and changing the measurement direction does not affect measurement accuracy. The DynaMIC DL also allows for easy calibration when measuring materials other than low-alloy and non-alloy steels. Calibration involves selecting a suitable material from nine different material groups for the measurement target. The display of measurement values allows for switching between average values and single measurement values with the press of a button. Additionally, it is possible to set measurement thresholds (upper and lower limits), and if the measurement values exceed this range, a warning sound and screen display will indicate that the measurement range has been exceeded.
