It makes the filling of samples into the melt-in deck easier and faster.
When filling the sample into the melt indexer, depending on the shape and properties of the sample, it may not be possible to fill it within one minute (JIS K 7210). This device heats and compresses the sample at a temperature lower than its melting point within the furnace body, molding it into a stick shape. By molding it into a stick shape, filling the sample into the melt indexer becomes easier. Since filling can be performed under constant conditions, the test conditions are standardized, allowing for the acquisition of accurate data. Additionally, it is possible to reduce the effects of hydrolysis.
