Functions effective for laser processing and milling processing.
Tool diameter compensation is an effective function for laser processing and milling (end mill) processing. Although the operating program is created with the finished shape (as it is easier to visualize and simpler), it functions by having the tool path go outside the finished shape by the radius of the laser spot or tool.

basic information
■ Tool Diameter Compensation Mechanism The operation program is created based on the finished shape, but it operates on a trajectory (outer path) that is offset only by the tool diameter. *Refer to Figure 1* Example: Milling: Set the radius value of the end mill Laser processing: Set the radius value of the laser spot This allows for easy use. ■ Benefits of Tool Diameter Compensation - You can create operation programs from CAD or design drawing information. You can process using operation programs created exactly as the finished shape. This leverages the information from CAD or design drawings. - Tool changes are also easy. There may be times when you need to change tools or adjust laser output during operation. In such cases, even if the tool diameter or spot diameter changes, you only need to change the compensation value D (macro variable value) for diameter compensation, and there is no need to modify the program. ● For more details, please contact us.

Techno has consistently developed and sold "motion controllers" for over 35 years since its founding. Our greatest mission is to enable the more flexible use of advanced NC technology. To achieve this, we have realized "the openness of NC technology," "downsizing (miniaturization and minimal hardware)," and "a wealth of precise motion functions." Thanks to this, our products are used in over 600 themes and tens of thousands of devices. *These include precision machining machines (cutting, grinding, polishing, milling, boring, discharge, laser, water jet, etc.), winding machines, unwinding machines, industrial robots, 3D printers, pipe benders, spring manufacturing, film rolls, inspection devices, and more. We believe that our products, technology, know-how, and experience will continue to contribute to customers aiming for world-class top-level equipment.
