Development of a high-sensitivity detector more than 1000 times that of a TCD detector.
The Helium Plasma Ionization Detector (HPID) is a highly sensitive detector that uses a very stable direct current discharge helium plasma as its ionization source. Helium has the highest excitation energy among all elements and can ionize all samples except neon, allowing for high-sensitivity detection.
