**Customer Request** - Solvent-based adhesives have generally been used in shoe manufacturing, but there are concerns about health hazards for workers and flammability associated with solvent-based adhesives. Therefore, we considered the water-based adhesives from Resitex. **Response** - First, we received the base material for the shoes to be bonded from the customer, and then we selected the appropriate water-based adhesive and sent a sample as a prototype. - The customer evaluated the adhesive strength and workability, and we customized the product through repeated improvements, leading to commercialization. **Result** - The water-based adhesive contains 2 to 3 times more solids (adhesive components) compared to solvent-based adhesives, allowing us to achieve the same bonding with just one coat instead of the 2 to 3 coats required with solvent-based adhesives. - By reducing the number of applications, the amount used was also minimized, resulting in comparable costs, and most importantly, the work efficiency improved, which the customer appreciated. - We hope to develop products together with our customers, not just introduce adhesives.
