basic information
**Lecture Summary** In the industrial application of CNTs, the dispersion into general solvents and polymers is crucial. However, the dispersion behavior of CNTs varies significantly depending on "which CNT" is used. Here, we will explain dispersion methods tailored to different types of CNTs from the perspective of dispersion mechanisms. Additionally, we will present application examples that utilize the characteristic of CNTs being rapidly and high-temperature heated by microwaves. **Lecture Summary** Carbon nanotubes are actively being studied for practical applications in various high-performance composite material fields, but they have not penetrated the market in terms of performance and cost. The reasons for this are believed to be the difficulty in setting specific targets unique to expensive CNTs, the selection of CNTs that meet the intended purpose, and the challenges of dispersion technology that are essential for composite material formation. In this lecture, as part of solving these issues, we will introduce our efforts to create a database of various companies' CNTs, the liquid-phase and solid-phase dispersion technologies we have developed, and several specific development cases based on these technologies.
