How to control the motor in a high-speed rotation area that requires a larger voltage!?
【Purpose of the Course】 Hybrid vehicles use IPM (Interior Permanent Magnet) motors. In this seminar, we will first explain the basic control methods for IPM motors. This content is applicable not only to hybrid vehicles but also to all applications of IPM. The constraints related to motor control in hybrid vehicles include a much higher rotational speed range compared to other applications (for example, elevators). In this range, voltages significantly higher than those provided by the onboard power supply (battery) are required. To address this, we will explain several additional control methods adopted by leading hybrid vehicle manufacturers.
