[Transport Test] A series of packaging tests will be conducted in accordance with the test sequence specified in ISTA 2A.
Overview of the ISTA 2A Test: - It applies to packaged products weighing 150 lb (68 kg) or less. - The ISTA 2A test combines Series 1 and Series 3 to assess whether the packaging can withstand hazards during transportation. It can be used for performance evaluation of packaged cargo intended for international transport. (However, it is recommended to test small mixed cargo using Series 3.) - The test items consist of Conditioning, Compression Test, Vibration Test (fixed displacement vibration or random vibration), and Shock Test (drop or tilt or horizontal). In the compression test, the compression load value is determined according to the load calculation formula specified by ISTA standards. There are two methods for compression: one where the load is released immediately after reaching the calculated load value, and another where the load is maintained for one hour after reaching the calculated load value. After a series of tests in the ISTA 2A test, the box is opened to check for damage. ▼ For more details, please download the PDF document (recommended). ▼ Customers in a hurry, please contact us via the 'Inquiry' section below.

In recent years, its presence has particularly increased in Southeast Asia and China, with more companies adopting ISTA testing standards as their internal standards. Additionally, the international standard for sterilization packaging in medical devices, ISO11607 (JIS T8041), recommends ISTA testing as one of the options for packaging performance evaluation. Our testing lab was accredited by ISTA in December 2010 and conducts packaging tests tailored to customer requirements in accordance with the testing methods specified by ISTA.
