Common features include: ■ Cycle time is fast at 90°, ranging from 0.13 to 0.9 seconds. ■ Adjustable tool contact pressure. ■ Memory for tool contact angle. ■ Long lifespan of 5 million cycles. ■ Both controller and scanner are compact. Features for lathes include: ■ Capable of detecting extremely small tools of 0.1mm. ■ Easy setup through simple teaching. ■ Can detect up to 2 tool positions. Features for machining centers include: ■ Tool wear detection possible without sacrificing machining time by installing in the tool magazine. ■ Capable of setting and storing configurations for up to 512 tools. ■ Compatible with Profibus and DeviceNet, allowing direct connection to the machine's NC device for reduced wiring and PC-less setup and adjustments (input from NC device).
