We will support you with our long-developed CAD technology, mold technology, and 3D printing.
To create conventional prototypes, the production of molds and machining has been required. This process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week, even at the fastest. With a 3D printer, prototypes can be created in just a few hours, allowing for shape verification and examination of any concerns. Additionally, leveraging the 3D CAD technology developed at Shimizu Corporation, we can provide comprehensive support from 3D model creation to modifications and up to mass production. Shimizu Co., Ltd. was founded in 1946 as a wooden mold manufacturing company and has been producing molds for automotive cast parts and cast valves. The materials for molds at the time of establishment were wood, and all mold-making was done by hand. We cultivated precise craftsmanship that was more refined than carpentry and continued to produce wooden molds. However, with the passage of time, wooden molds declined, and in their place, the materials for casting molds have changed to more durable and mass-producible materials such as resin molds, iron molds, aluminum molds, and shell molds. Shimizu Co., Ltd. has responded to customer demands and, to improve delivery times and quality, has introduced top-tier 3D CAD/CAM systems and machining centers in Nagano Prefecture. We have continuously equipped ourselves to adapt to changes in the casting world and have honed our skills. Since then, we have worked on mold-making by combining the craftsmanship developed through wooden molds with machine technology. We have also quickly adopted cutting-edge 3D printing technology, striving to challenge ourselves in further mold-making and to meet customer needs with new technologies.
