2-channel in-band monitoring compatible 100Mbps optical media converter card module
The FRM220-10/100IS-2 is a media converter that incorporates two completely independent media converters in one chassis, converting from 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX. With its in-band management feature, it is ideal for applications such as metro LAN, campus, enterprise, and FTTx. It has an SFP (hot-swappable optical transmission module) slot, allowing for the replacement of optical modules while powered on, even in the event of a module failure. It can be used as an optical converter module in the FRM220-CH20 chassis, and by using devices like the FRM220-10/100IS or FMC-10/100IS, remote management of converter bandwidth control, duplexing, speed settings, and monitoring of link/power status can be performed through in-band management. Additionally, with the separately sold FRM220-CH20 chassis and NMC, centralized management via WEB GUI or SNMP is also possible. It features a space-saving design that can accommodate up to 38 lines in a 2U size.
