Its chemical resistance demonstrates stability against most chemicals, including ethers, amines, ketones, oxidizers, organic solvents, fuels, acids, and alkalis, which are difficult to use with conventional fluororubber. In terms of heat resistance (based on the results of compression set tests such as JIS K6301), it relatively maintains its physical properties even at high temperatures close to 300°C. Therefore, for example, when Carlitz components are used as sealing materials in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, longer seal life, reduced maintenance costs, and lower contamination are expected.
