We provide optimal fishing gear for methods such as running around, board pulling, two-boat towing, beam towing, and patch nets.
The bottom trawl fishing method can be broadly categorized into the following types: round-haul, board trawl, two-boat trawl, beam trawl, and patch net. Nitto Seiwai Co., Ltd. has a track record of designing and selling fishing gear for over 40 years to bottom trawlers across Japan, from Hokkaido to the western regions, and we provide the most suitable fishing gear materials available today. We design fishing gear in total, including towing ropes (warp), net opening boards (otter boards), ground ropes, trawl nets, and cod ends. This is also based on our experience of providing fishing gear for vessels ranging from under 5 tons to 5000-ton trawlers for several decades. basic information
【Bottom Trawling Fishing Method】 ○ Surrounding Method → A method of bottom trawling where a buoy barrel is deployed, followed by a rope, net, and another rope in a square formation, raising the barrel while narrowing the width of the rope to tow the net and catch benthic marine organisms. → It allows for catching in small fishing grounds and is an environmentally friendly method that relatively disturbs the seabed less. ○ Board Trawling Method → A fishing method that uses a spreading board (otter board) to expand the net horizontally through water flow while towing. → It enables surface towing, mid-water towing, and bottom towing by adjusting the length of the warp. ○ Two-Boat Trawling → A fishing method where two boats separate to the left and right while maintaining a certain distance and tow a single net. ○ Beam Trawling → A method that has a beam (girders) that forcibly opens the net mouth. Beam trawl net. ○ Patch Net → A fishing method where two net boats and one transport boat, making a total of three boats in one team, tow a large bag-shaped net in the mid-water to catch sardines (iriko), dried young sardines (chirimen), and baby anchovies (ikanago). → Since it tows at full speed, a strong net material called "moji net" is required. → Development of nets using super fibers is underway for further proposals. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
