In the adhesive tape manufacturing line, there was an unavoidable process where the adhesive surface came into contact with the roll. Various non-adhesive rolls were tested, but satisfactory performance was not achieved, leading to frequent line stoppages, and each time, cleaning work had to be carried out. Issues: 1. It is not possible to create a mechanism that does not touch the adhesive surface. 2. Based on past experience, surface treatments with excessive roughness are unsuitable as the adhesive material tends to get trapped in the valleys. 3. The release properties obtained from fluorine-based surface treatments do not meet the required standards.

We proposed a non-stick coating with exceptional non-adhesive properties. This time, among the six types available, we recommend the blast type (NV-S), which has the highest smoothness (film thickness: 10μm, surface roughness: 2.0±1.0μm). We provided sample pieces along with other types and comparison fluoropolymer coatings to verify compatibility with adhesive sheets. Key Points: The principle behind the non-adhesive effect of the non-stick coating utilizes point contact. For an object to stick, a certain surface area is required. In this regard, the non-stick coating creates unevenness on the surface through shot blasting, reducing the contact area and preventing the energy necessary for adhesion. Furthermore, by applying a special non-stick resin, it achieves high release properties at the contact points. These two actions enable a level of non-adhesiveness sufficient to allow adhesive tape to slide across the surface. It is particularly effective against viscous gel-like substances.
