[Case Study] Energy Saving! Improving Air Conditioning Efficiency through Partition Construction!
Energy saving! Improving air conditioning efficiency through partition construction!
In a factory that manufactures cosmetics through OEM production, three processes—filling, packaging, and inspection—were conducted in a single space measuring 30m x 15m. The building had low insulation, and while two air conditioning units were installed, they were insufficient during the summer, raising concerns about decreased work efficiency due to the heat. Additionally, since the building was not originally designed as a clean room, the OEM clients requested improvements to the working environment, necessitating simultaneous enhancements in air conditioning efficiency and cleanliness. Issues: 1. The manufacturing environment is a concern for the OEM clients. 2. While we want to make the most of the existing air conditioning units, they are clearly insufficient in their current state. 3. The interior walls of the building are finished with standard residential wall coverings rather than clean room specifications. 4. Cleanliness at Class 10000 is only required for the filling and packaging processes. 5. There is a significant amount of heat intrusion from the windows.

basic information
It is proposed to improve the existing building to specifications similar to a clean room and to partition each process using clean panels. It is also proposed to use existing air conditioning units for processes where cleanliness is not required, and to newly introduce air conditioning units with HEPA filters only in the filling room and packaging room, which require a Class 10000 working environment. Points: 1. Install insulation panels on the windows, which are sources of heat intrusion, to provide heat shielding. 2. Fully install calcium silicate boards on the existing interior walls (covered with residential wallpaper) and ceiling, and finish with clean room fabric. (To improve cleanliness, it is necessary to create as flat a surface as possible to prevent dust accumulation and turbulence.) 3. Use clean panels to partition into four spaces, shifting from overall air conditioning to localized air conditioning for each process to improve air conditioning efficiency. 4. Only the important filling room and packaging room will be cleaned with new air conditioning units. Existing air conditioning units will also be reused to reduce introduction costs.
