These components provide approximately four times the effective sighting, grating, and focus area compared to the SM400 and SM440. The effective resolution increases while the window size decreases. A 100 nm window achieves about 0.05nm resolution (SM400 and SM440 have 0.15nm). The large optical bench of the SM540 achieves high resolution in the near-infrared. High resolution cannot be achieved with small optical benches like those of the SM400/440 due to the limitations of the grating diffraction angle. The standard interface is USB 2.0 and PCI card interface with 16-bit extended dynamic range. Our USB board supports up to 8 multi-channels. Multi-channel configurations enable high resolution.
