A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measurement device that collects data at the rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around a machine. The laser light travels back and forth between the scanner and the object without directly touching it, determining the distance and acquiring three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light. After measurement, the data can be used for 2D CAD and 3D modeling, tailored to the customer's needs.
