An applicator for applying paint and coating materials at a uniform film thickness.
This is a two-sided film applicator that allows for the application of two coatings with different film thicknesses by using different gaps on the upper and lower surfaces. It is the A-type model of the JIS standard film applicator. It is recommended that film thickness evaluation tests be conducted at a constant thickness according to various standards. The application width is 80mm (total length 105mm). Please select a combination of the two gaps from the lineup. The material is made of stainless steel. *The product in the photo is the 068-3 two-sided film applicator 80mm 150,200μm.

Place and secure the test piece on a flat surface such as a glass plate. Spread the sample, such as paint or ink, over the test piece, pinch both ends of the applicator with your fingers, and quickly pull the applicator towards you at a speed of about 150mm in approximately 1 second while pressing it against the test piece. After finishing applying the sample, place the test piece with the coated surface facing up and level.
