This is a specialized cup for easily measuring the viscosity of paints and coatings.
Introducing the DIN cup (DIN CUP) compliant with DIN standards. The orifice diameters are 2, 4, 6, and 8 mm, each with a different measurement range. The accuracy of the orifice diameter is ±0.02 mm. The capacity is 100 ml. The cup body is made of aluminum, and the nozzle part is made of stainless steel. There is also a stand with a level specifically for the DIN cup.

basic information
Fix the viscosity cup to a stand placed in an area unaffected by wind. Using a level, adjust the stand's leveling screw so that the rim of the viscosity cup is horizontal. Press your finger against the orifice of the viscosity cup and slowly pour the filtered paint, which does not contain bubbles, into the cup to avoid creating foam. If bubbles form, wait for them to rise to the surface and remove them. Fill the cup sufficiently until the paint rises to the surface tension level at the rim. Slide a flat glass plate along the rim to remove excess paint without introducing bubbles between the liquid surface and the plate. When the glass plate is moved horizontally along the rim and removed, the paint level will be the same as the top surface of the cup's rim. Place a container under the viscosity cup and remove your finger from the orifice. Quickly slide the glass plate away to allow the paint to flow from the orifice. Start the stopwatch as soon as the paint begins to flow. Stop the stopwatch the moment the flow of paint near the orifice ceases. Record the flow time in 0.5-second increments.
