The MCX501 is a one-axis motion control IC that controls the positioning or speed of servo motors and stepping motors in a pulse sequence. This IC eliminates the need for speed multiplier (range) settings and can freely output drive speeds from 1pps to a maximum of 8Mpps in 1pps increments. The acceleration and deceleration drive can perform trapezoidal acceleration/deceleration as well as smooth S-curve acceleration/deceleration. 【Features】 ○ Types of acceleration and deceleration drives → The acceleration and deceleration drive can perform constant speed drive / linear acceleration/deceleration drive (symmetric/asymmetric) / S-curve acceleration/deceleration drive (symmetric/asymmetric). ○ Automatic deceleration start → In position drives using linear acceleration/deceleration (symmetric/asymmetric) and S-curve acceleration/deceleration drive (symmetric), the IC calculates the deceleration start point and automatically begins deceleration (asymmetric S-curve acceleration/deceleration drive is not supported). ○ S-curve acceleration/deceleration curve → S-curve acceleration/deceleration increases/decreases acceleration and deceleration linearly, resulting in a quadratic parabolic acceleration/deceleration speed curve. → The unique method also prevents triangular waveforms during S-curve acceleration/deceleration.
