The metal mirror, made from an aluminum substrate processed with diamond cutting, offers two types of enhanced reflective coatings (with protective layers) in aluminum and gold, making it an ideal product for LWIR laser applications over 2000nm. Due to the surface roughness of 175 angstroms (RMS) from the diamond cutting process, it may not be suitable for use in ultraviolet or visible light applications that require low scattering. The backside of the aluminum substrate features three tapped holes for convenient fixing, either No. 6-32UNC or No. 8-32UNC.
