basic information
This is a high-precision off-axis parabolic mirror with a surface accuracy of λ/2 to λ/4 based on the PV value. It effectively functions for imaging applications in visible light and for light energy concentration applications (condenser applications) using ultraviolet light, addressing the shortcomings of non-axis parabolic metal mirrors. This product is a replica mirror made from a master mirror that has been precisely inspected using optical interference methods, featuring a hybrid optical element with a resin coating that has an aspheric profile on a soda-lime glass (blue plate glass) substrate. Since the same profile is transferred from the master mirror, there is minimal individual variation in performance between samples, ensuring stable quality. Unlike conventional coaxial design parabolic mirrors, non-axis parabolic mirrors can focus parallel light at a specified angle (off-axis angle). This capability reduces constraints in the layout of optical systems.
