The TECHSPEC OD2 short pass filter is a dielectric multilayer film filter that passes short wavelengths while cutting long wavelengths. The TECHSPEC OD2 short pass filter is designed with a thin film to ensure a sharp transition from the transmission band to the blocking band. It is ideal for applications such as fluorescence and wavelength separation of higher-order spectra, or for creating custom bandpass filters in combination with the TECHSPEC OD2 long pass filter. The optical characteristics include an average transmission rate of over 85% in the transmission band and an optical density of over 2.0 in the blocking band (equivalent to a transmission rate of less than 1%), making it suitable for high-contrast applications in machine vision and gauge use.
