The pellicle beam splitter is bonded to an aluminum alloy frame (finished in black anodizing) with an extremely thin nitrocellulose film. Due to the very thin film, ghost images caused by unwanted back reflections from the rear side of the film are not observed. Mounting tap holes are provided at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions of the frame. While it is resistant to mechanical shocks and temperature fluctuations, care must be taken to avoid dust and spray.
