It is a fine-scale or geometric pattern deposited on a colorless transparent glass substrate. The magnified image (real image) obtained by the objective lens is usually focused at a predetermined position within the eyepiece lens barrel. Fix the reticle at this position and view the image from the objective lens superimposed with the pattern of the reticle through the eyepiece. We have prepared reticles with a 360° protractor pattern (#51021) and a 180° protractor pattern (#30079). When attaching the reticle to the eyepiece lens, please ensure that the deposited surface of the reticle pattern faces the objective lens side.
