The 【AB16-PCIeXOVR】 is a conversion adapter board for host-device connections that supports 1/4/8-lane PCIe (PCI-Express) and can be applied to evaluation boards from Intel/Xilinx that implement the PCIe interface. The adapter board features 8-lane PCIe sockets on both the component side and the solder side, directly connecting the transmit and receive signals lane by lane to function as host side/device side. This adapter is ideal for developing FPGA applications that implement PCIe host side functionality. Additionally, this adapter is required when evaluating the NVMe-IP core from DesignGateway.

● The host side can connect to an FPGA evaluation board with PCI-Express 8-lane (4/1-lane is also acceptable). ● The device side can also connect to PCIe devices with 8/4/1-lane. ● A low-jitter clock source compliant with the PCIe standard (default 100MHz HSCL differential signal) is implemented on the adapter. ● The PCIe clock supplies the same clock signal to both the host side and the device side. ● Each sideband signal between the host and device can be individually configured for disconnection/connection using jumper sockets. ● The pin header for sideband signals outputs a user-specific power supply of 2.5V/3.3V for daughter boards. ● Reset can be selected between direct connection from host to device and a reset switch on the adapter board using jumper sockets. ● The device side provides a switchable 12V and 3.3V power supply that can be turned ON/OFF. ● An accessory cable is included to enable power supply for the adapter from the standard power supply of Intel/Xilinx evaluation boards.
