When the cap set on the nut reaches the appropriate torque, the inner claws break, and the cap spins freely to indicate that the installation is complete. A capped state means it has not been installed. The work is completed when the cap comes off and the nut is exposed. This prevents not only forgetting to tighten or insufficient tightening but also seizing due to over-tightening. It is possible to tighten with the appropriate torque using only an impact wrench, without the need for a torque wrench or special tightening machinery.

There are various types of locking nuts with different anti-loosening functions in the world. All locking nuts exhibit their anti-loosening function when tightened to the appropriate torque value. However, if the operator forgets to tighten them, the anti-loosening function will not be activated. Conversely, over-tightening can lead to issues such as seizing. To prevent human error in advance, KFC has developed a nut that combines unprecedented resin products with steel products to add torque management functionality. A polycarbonate cap is set with the locking nut. When the specified torque is reached, the contact area between the inside of the cap and the nut breaks, causing the cap to spin freely and detach, thus completing the installation at the proper torque value. The Torcia Nut "K" is set with our anti-loosening K nut. The Torcia Nut "ZK" is set with our washer-equipped anti-loosening K nut.
