Sturdy! Lightweight! Great scenery! A fiberglass stair deck with four strengths!
As an example of the installation of the "FRP Stair Deck," we introduce Nakagusuku Park (Pathway No. 2) in Okinawa Prefecture. Located at an elevation of 150 meters, this park is designated as one of Japan's 100 Historic Castles and is a scenic spot where you can overlook the Pacific Ocean and more. To allow everyone to stroll through the entire park, plans were made for walkways and observation decks. Given its coastal location and strong ultraviolet rays, durable and salt-resistant FRP materials were selected. 【Overview】 ■ Nakagusuku Park (Pathway No. 2) ■ Okinawa Prefecture, June 2016 Installation ■ W2.0m x L87.7m ■ W6.8m x L10.4m (Observation Deck) ■ Railing, Floorboards, Structure: FRP (Pultruded Material)

basic information
(1) It is a plastic reinforced with glass fibers, making it lighter and stronger compared to conventional structural materials! - Its weight is 1/4 that of steel, allowing for reductions in foundation construction costs and transportation expenses. - It can be manually transported and constructed in remote mountainous areas where heavy machinery cannot access. (2) It is resistant to salt damage and water, and does not corrode! - It has high corrosion resistance, unlike wood or metal, which can rust or rot. - It contributes to reducing life cycle costs. (3) It has good weather resistance because deterioration from UV rays and rain can be suppressed by surface coating! - Compared to ordinary plastics, it can suppress deterioration from UV rays and rain. - It contributes to reducing life cycle costs. (4) It has good aesthetic appeal! - Surface coating allows for color selection. - New techniques make it possible to shape the bridge body into an arch.

■FRP materials that are lightweight, have high strength per unit weight, are corrosion-resistant, and are strong against salt damage. ■Pin foundation bases that do not require heavy machinery and do not need excavation of the ground surface. Our company has introduced these two technologies ahead of other companies in Japan and boasts a wealth of construction achievements. We are involved in the design and construction of bridges, decks, boardwalks, and piers in national parks and theme parks that are well-known to everyone. By partnering with a Dutch company and introducing new technology using FRP materials, we have made it possible to construct long-span FRP bridges, which were previously difficult to achieve. Furthermore, a durability of over 60 years is expected, making this a technology that can open up new markets in the future.
