basic information
Although not specified in the standards, it has been included in the lineup as a manufacturer-specific standard. The simplified micro hardness tester MD15S-NA779GT allows for easy measurement of the hardness of thin rubber sheets, which are difficult to measure with a standard type A durometer, by shortening the height of the indentor and reducing the spring force, providing an approximate value of type A. There is also type E2 for soft rubber, which has about half the spring load value of a type E durometer, and type FO for measuring the hardness of foam sponges similar to dishwashing sponges.
