By applying paint at a certain film thickness and standing the test piece vertically, we will test whether the flow (sagging) of the paint occurs due to the thickness of the film.
The sag tester is designed to apply paint at a constant film thickness and to test whether sagging occurs due to the thickness of the film by standing the test piece vertically. The sag tester has five gaps, allowing coatings of different film thicknesses to be applied at once. It is made of stainless steel and has a total application width of approximately 110mm.

basic information
Place the test piece on a flat surface and secure it to prevent movement while sliding the sag tester against it. Position the sag tester parallel to one edge of the front of the test piece and spread the material, adjusted to the viscosity specified in the product planning, into the groove area. While gently pressing the sag tester down, pull it towards you at a uniform speed. After finishing the application, immediately stand the test piece vertically with the thicker side of the coating facing down. Maintain this position for the specified time and examine the flow (sagging) condition of the paint.
