Plasma nitriding treatment is also known as ion nitriding. It is a method where the treated parts are used as the cathode and the furnace wall as the anode, applying voltage to generate glow discharge in a hydrogen-nitrogen atmosphere under reduced pressure, forming a nitrided layer on the surface.
