Natural powder of Java long pepper and black pepper from Indonesia, approximately 3% piperine, additive-free.
Javanese Long Pepper (Piper retrofractum) is known by names such as "Hihatsu," "Jawanagakoshou," or "Hihatsumodoki." It is native to Indonesia and called Cabe Puyung, and is a spice that is generally preferred over black pepper. As a traditional health food known as Jamu, it is used for conditions such as impotence, fever, high blood pressure, fatigue, abdominal pain, beriberi, influenza, lethargy, and neurasthenia (according to the Medical Herb Index in Indonesia, PT Eisai Indonesia, 1986). It contains piperine as an active substance, and many pharmacological effects have been confirmed, including diaphoretic action, metabolism promotion, vasodilation, and recovery of male function. Only mature red Hihatsu fruits grown organically without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, which are sun-dried and blackened, are selected. EJ Hihatsu 100% Powder MKP is a high-quality product made from Indonesian Hihatsu fruits that have been sterilized and powdered (100 mesh) domestically, without additives. It has a high concentration of piperine at 2.9% and can be used as a spice or health food ingredient.
