Our company, Horie Seihako Plywood Co., Ltd., was established in April 1949 in Horie Town, Showa Ward, Nagoya City (now Fukue), with the purpose of manufacturing wooden boxes. Initially, our main focus was on the production of various wooden boxes, but around the 1950s, we began to engage in the molding of plywood. This started with backrests and seat boards for folding pipe chairs and has since been widely used as chair components for factory work, movie theater halls, school classrooms, and various commercial applications, and has even been incorporated into general furniture. Around the 1960s, we also began to focus on the production of large molded plywood. Utilizing the curved surface processing techniques we had developed, we created molded plywood for architectural interiors and curved formwork, bringing innovation to the construction and civil engineering industries. Today, in addition to traditional applications, the demand for molded plywood has diversified and become more individualized, including interior goods and miscellaneous items. To meet these demands, we have established a system that can quickly respond to small-batch, diverse product requests. If you feel free to reach out to us, we believe we can be of assistance in some way.
