Factory Reconstruction Method "Separate Method" [Achieving Reconstruction Without Stopping the Line]
Are you giving up on rebuilding a factory because there is no space around the existing building? It is possible to rebuild in two phases without stopping the production line!
The "Separate Construction Method" is a technique that involves not completely demolishing an existing building before constructing a new one, but rather dividing the construction period into two phases and rebuilding section by section while maintaining operations. First, machinery is moved to the second phase area, and construction begins on the first phase. After completing the first phase, machinery is moved back from the second phase to the first phase. By completing the second phase afterward, the factory can operate at full capacity without disruption. 【Recommended for factories like this!】 ■ There is relocation space available on adjacent land ■ There is no room around the existing building ■ It is possible to plan production lines across different floors *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Construction Case Study】 The single-story factory, which occupied the entire site, had machinery that made long-distance movement difficult. Therefore, a three-story building was planned to effectively utilize the space above for the first phase of construction. To ensure that operations could continue with just the completed sections of the first phase, the first and second floors were designed to be used as factory space. The parts that would have minimal impact on operations were rebuilt in the first phase, allowing the second phase to be constructed without disrupting operations. In addition to incorporating a highly insulating roof to prevent temperature rise and a seismic structure capable of withstanding major earthquakes, the second floor was designed to support a load of 700 kg/m², resulting in a building with approximately three times the existing area. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Company information
Yoshizawa Architectural Structural Design Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive design office that consistently handles everything from planning and design to construction and after-service for factory rebuilding and renewal in-house. There are various reasons for wanting to renew an aging factory or introduce new equipment, but the current situation is fraught with challenges, such as the inability to stop production, the costs associated with relocating to a temporary factory, and the resulting decrease in productivity. Our company employs methods like "Cover Build," which involves constructing a steel frame over the existing factory while keeping production equipment in place, and "Separate," which divides the construction period into phases (e.g., Phase 1 and Phase 2) to avoid a decline in operational rates during rebuilding. Additionally, to assess the potential damage buildings may incur during an earthquake, we conduct various seismic surveys, including crack investigations, concrete strength assessments, and rebar layout measurements. Based on the survey results, we propose seismic reinforcement plans. We focus on preserving the assets of companies, including buildings, machinery, materials, and products. Furthermore, we ensure the prompt recovery and continuity of operations. Supporting everything from seismic diagnosis to reinforcement comprehensively is what we, "Yoshizawa," are dedicated to.
