Case study of introducing processed products: Request for solving challenges from an automatic machine manufacturer.
By creating dedicated tools, we have made it possible to produce 'non-standard processed products'!
Here is an example of a request for solving a difficult problem from an automation equipment manufacturer. We received an inquiry from an automation equipment manufacturer, with whom we have previously collaborated on many processed products, regarding a processed product to be used in a new development project for a leak testing device. The request was, "In order to securely hold the O-ring in the O-ring groove of the in-roller shaft, it is necessary to have a slope in the groove. Is this feasible?" We selected a processing company, explained the response details to the automation equipment manufacturer, and proceeded with prototype evaluation. Each iteration of the prototype increased the difficulty, but we finally resolved the challenging air leakage issue on the third attempt by tightening the slope to 24 degrees. By meeting the customer's needs and facilitating cooperation between the automation equipment manufacturer and the processing company through our company, we were able to solve the problems faced by the client. [Challenge] We want to add a groove to insert an O-ring for air leakage prevention in the in-roller section of a flange shaft, but if the groove shape is made straight, a phenomenon occurs where the O-ring is pulled by the pressed parts during repeated air leakage tests. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Summary】 In later discussions, it was mentioned that the difficulty of tool manufacturing increased with each iteration—first, second, and third—resulting in over 10 prototypes being created before completion. It was precisely because of the established trust with the manufacturer that we were able to collaborate to that extent. This experience has reinforced the importance of trust with manufacturers in addressing client issues. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

The concerns faced in the daily procurement of custom-made processed products, such as "not arriving on time," "unstable quality," "unable to process according to the drawings," and "existing suppliers going out of business," among others. Bandaï's proud custom processing procurement network, the "Hometown Processing Network," consists of unique processing companies from various regions including Hyogo, Osaka, Shimane, Tottori, Hiroshima, Aichi, Kanagawa, and Ibaraki, and it leads to solutions for a wide range of issues related to custom-made processed products. Additionally, in recent years, we have also established a procurement network with reliable overseas processing companies, the "International Processing Network," to strengthen our ability to resolve cost-related concerns.
