basic information
Matsuoka Chouseki is a natural clay mineral formed by the hydrothermal decomposition of granite over a long period of time. Its main component is crystalline hydrous aluminum silicate (Al2O3·2SiO2·2H2O), characterized by fine, flat (plate-like) particles, and it exhibits plasticity when mixed with water and rigidity when dried. Matsuoka Ceramics Raw Materials is one of Japan's largest suppliers of high-quality kaolin, owning kaolin clay deposits and a refining factory. Additionally, it has its own transportation department, enabling short cycles, small lots, and long-distance delivery, ensuring reliable and safe supply.

Applications/Examples of results
Information on TC-600 In the paper industry, high whiteness and narrow particle size distribution (uniform particle size) provide excellent whiteness and printability for various coated papers. These characteristics enable cost reductions in color through reduced coating amounts, high incorporation of inexpensive carbon black pigments, and reductions in expensive pigments such as titanium dioxide. In the paint industry, it is used in large quantities as an inorganic filler, improving the yield of pigments and emulsions, preventing paint drips, and enabling matte and gloss effects through particle size control. In the ceramics industry, it is used as a binder, demonstrating its ability to maintain dimensions and prevent warping during firing. In the glass industry, it is used as an important raw material source of alumina during glass manufacturing, significantly contributing to the specifications of the products.

Our company is a manufacturer and seller of ceramic raw materials with a history of over 80 years. In the vicinity of Seto City in Aichi Prefecture, the hometown of pottery, there are large deposits of high-quality silica sand, which is the main raw material for ceramics and glass. Our main business is to wash, crush, remove impurities, and sort the silica sand to meet our customers' needs. Additionally, we have successfully developed processing technology to utilize feldspar from the northeastern part of Aichi Prefecture as a raw material for glass.
