Our company designs and manufactures logistics transport equipment and car AV installation kits. This time, we would like to introduce a case that solved a minor hassle within the factory. This case involves a manufacturer that produces small components related to automotive engines. A new process was established for robots to place high-precision parts onto pallets. We planned to transport them using aluminum pallets that perfectly matched the size and shape of the workpieces, but they were costly at over 10,000 yen each. Therefore, we created high-precision pallets made from molded polystyrene. With a price of around 1,000 yen, this resulted in significant cost savings.
