Mertech's scales are adopted in many fields such as industrial robots, positioning servos, factory automation, and the automotive industry as essential components of motion control technology. The SUS etching specification is a scale for encoders made from stainless steel through photo-etching processing. While it is not intended for high resolution, it can be produced relatively inexpensively. The shapes available are linear scales and disk plates (i.e., rotary slit plates), and they are only transmissive. (Reflective types are available in hybrid etching specifications.) The resolution is around 180 LPI. 【Features】 ■ Uses SUS304 flat material, processed by photo-etching ■ Minimum slit is approximately 0.08 (t=0.05) ■ Pitch tolerance within ±0.003, and the difference between the maximum and minimum slit tolerances within a lot is within 0.04 ■ Disk: Center runout within 0.015, roundness within 0.015 possible ■ Disk: Inner diameter precision tolerance range is within 0.04 (0.01 possible with reamer finishing) ■ Composite processing: Assembly with resin or metal hubs, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
