OIL-EX is a product of CALENBERG in Germany. It is made from elastomer materials, with the upper layer serving as an adsorption layer of rubber granules. Beneath that is a barrier layer that prevents the penetration of liquids, protecting the floor and soil from contamination. OIL-EX absorbs liquid hydrocarbons such as oil, low-viscosity lubricants, fuels, and organic solvents, selectively binding with hydrocarbons in emulsions. The absorbed liquid diffuses throughout the entire adsorption layer and will not flow out again even when squeezed or washed. The adsorption layer is water-repellent, so surface water does not seep in and flows off the surface without mixing with the adsorbed substances. Since the main component of the mat is recycled rubber, OIL-EX is an environmentally friendly product in that sense as well.
