Fluoroelastomer is considered the most expensive rubber among synthetic rubbers, exhibiting excellent performance in heat resistance, oil resistance, high-temperature compression set, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance. In particular, it is the most durable among synthetic rubbers in terms of heat resistance, showing resistance to continuous use at around 200°C. Among fluoroelastomers, general vinylidene fluoride-based fluoroelastomers (FKM) and tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber (FEPM), which has resistance to organic acids, ketones, esters, and amines that FKM does not, as well as perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) that go even further, can meet various requirements depending on the application.
