Yamakin started as a non-ferrous metal sales business in 1916 and has since developed into a manufacturer of flat copper, brass, aluminum, and zinc wire and coiled wire. To accommodate a variety of products in small quantities with short delivery times, we change our production line six to seven times a day at peak times. Since the dimensions of materials change with temperature fluctuations, temperature management of the rolling mill is a crucial factor. Additionally, the rolling mill was a machine purchased by our predecessor in the United States, which means that all our wire products are manufactured through rolling. We are the only company in Japan that manufactures exclusively through rolling, giving us an advantage in offering a variety of products in small quantities with short delivery times. The introduction of the industry's first continuous patch system has reduced lead times to one-third to one-fourth. This has further accelerated our differentiation from competitors in terms of short delivery times. In the future, we will shift our focus from copper wire to aluminum wire, which has raw material costs less than half that of copper. Although aluminum has a conductivity that is 62% that of copper, we will address this by increasing the wire diameter. Since the rolling mill introduced by our predecessor was designed for aluminum, we possess significant know-how in aluminum wire production, and the rising prices of copper have also boosted demand.
