EXR-100 model Raw materials to which liquid is added are kneaded in advance are pushed forward by two screws (2) and peeled mutually by an overlapped double extractor (blades) (3) at the front edge. Then, without much adherence or consolidation, they are extruded as soft cylindrical granules with a well-regulated grain diameter from the pores of the screen (4) (punched wire mesh) that has an enlarged discharge periphery. By changing the screen specification (plate thickness: pore diameter), granules with a diameter between 0.5 and 3 mm can be manufactured.
