An ultra-high sensitivity micro-pressure sensor capable of detecting minute pressure changes in air and gas that were previously undetectable.
The air pressure sensor FKS-111 can detect minute pressure changes in air and gas that were not detectable by conventional methods with high sensitivity. The detection range allows a single sensor to capture a wide range of pressure changes, from minute pressure changes of 1 Pa to significant pressure changes of around 100 kPa. It can also detect small pressure changes within high-pressure containers. Unlike traditional pressure sensors that use mechanical, diaphragm, or semiconductor methods, this sensor employs an entirely new detection method. When a pressure change occurs, there is a slight temperature change in the surrounding air or gas. By capturing this temperature change, the sensor detects the pressure change. It detects low-frequency pressure changes (0.5 Hz to 10 Hz), so it does not respond to sound or vibration. This sensor detects changes in pressure rather than absolute pressure values. Therefore, it reacts when there is a pressure change and stops reacting when the pressure change ceases. It has a built-in FET for impedance conversion, allowing the amount of pressure change to be output as a voltage. Compared to conventional diaphragm types, it is inexpensive and highly sensitive, and since it uses ceramics for the sensing element, it does not break under excessive pressure.
