**Characteristics of Hard Chrome Plating** ■ Hardness Generally considered to be above Hv700. At Otec, we provide high-hardness plating of over Hv900 by adjusting the liquid composition. ■ Wear Resistance It has a low coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance. ■ Heat Resistance Heating above 400°C causes a rapid decrease in hardness. At Otec, we use a dedicated furnace for baking to remove hydrogen after plating, conducted under strict temperature control. ■ Corrosion Resistance It is stable against chemical agents other than chlorides. ■ Oil Retention Due to the fine cracks on the plating surface, it has excellent oil retention properties. If further enhancement of oil retention is desired, we can also accommodate porous chrome plating with widened cracks.
